  •

What do you mean by “Christ-based Studio?”

  • You don’t have to be a Christian to attend our school, but we do ask that people respect that we are.  We pray before and after class and do not delve into the eastern philosophies and mysticism of other styles.  We believe that self defense is biblical and that we are called to protect ourselves and others from evil intentions.   We also believe that integrity, concentration, perseverance, respect and obedience, self-control, humility, and an indomitable spirit are attributes of both martial artists and the Christian life.

What style(s) do you teach?

  • Our main style is Tang Soo Do Kyohoe Kwan.  The style was founded by DoJuNim Bill Church (Crusader’s owner) and incorporates Chinese Gung Fu hand techniques and Korean Soo Bok do foot techniques.  It is similar to other forms of Tang Soo Do, with an emphasis on anatomical correctness, to minimize the possibility of injury to our students.  Tang Soo Do students learn forms, techniques, weapons, and self defense from our highly trained instructors.
  • We recently introduced a Krav Maga program, based on the style a modified by Martin Pedata at one of our Kicks for Christ sister schools This program is for entry level students and trained martial artists alike, and focuses on self defense and disarming tactics learned by the Israeli military.
